The 4-H program offers youth many opportunities to learn and apply leadership skills. All kinds of service opportunities exist for members at the club level on through the state level -- and even at the national and international levels! There are numerous training and networking activities for members as they mature and seek out increasing amounts of responsibility. Club Leadership Opportunities
- Hold an office in your club
- Serve as a Junior Leader for a project (for members in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades)
- Serve as a Teen Leader for a project (for members in the 10th grade and above)
- Coordinate activities for club meetings
- Coordinate an event for your club
- Chair or serve on standing committees
Area Leadership Opportunities
- Carry out an Emerald Star Project
- Chair or serve on planning committees for area events such as field days, judging days, and presentation days
- Be a member representative at area meetings
