Buena Vista's school garden was created in 1997 with help from the Carlsbad Arboretum Foundation. Teachers are assigned plots
and the students visit once a week to help care for their classroom plots. Part-time teacher and garden volunteer Dolores Fangon
enjoys experimenting with different kinds of plants.
